As we move towards the Millennium, Thaler will be introducing a new technical manual one subject at a time over the next several months. The first subject relates to sections A, B, C, E, F, and I - STACK JACK Flashings, Exhaust Vent Flashings, Mechanical & Electrical Flashings, Architectural Roof Supports, Mechanical & Electrical Roof Supports, and Fall Arrest Roof Anchors. In the interim, existing data will be provided for other sections of the manual.
2. Our New "Thaler or Equal" Method for Assessing "Competitive Products"
When specifications read "Thaler or Equal", it is the responsibility of specifiers and building owners to determine what it means to be "or Equal". A simple one page listing of "Value Added" features with check boxes appears at the beginning of each Thaler product section to help the reader very quickly EVALUATE whether or not another manufacturer's product is equal to Thaler. It can be seen from this information that "When specifying Thaler, you're specifying more than a product, you're specifying Quality and Durability.
3. Our New Technical Manual
A Thaler Millennium project involves producing a complete technical reference file for the building professions and roofing trades. Each section of our new manual contains product data presented in a preferred format, section details, and FORMAL SPECIFICATIONS.
Specifications, in the new Thaler technical manual, can be employed in three different ways:
